Harry grew up in the Northern Territory and completed the majority of his medical training in Brisbane. He undertook advanced training in rheumatology at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital, and Ipswich Hospital before relocating with his family to Geelong.

With a background in research on psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis, Harry has a keen interest in all aspects of rheumatology, including psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis
